Hate it or Love it

I have always gotten the same or similar pedicure color, but this time I decided to go for a less conservative color. I picked a turquoise color. I have been seeing this color in different magazines and I really liked it. I decided against getting it the last few times I got a pedicure, but yesterday I decided to go for it. Since the summer is getting to an end I decided it was now or never.
So what do you think of the color, do you love it or hate it?

Siempre escogí el mismo o casi el mismo color para hacerme la pedicura, pero esta vez me decidí por un color menos conservador, escogí un color turquesa. He estado viendo el color en diferentes revistas y me gusto mucho, pero cambiaba de idea las veces que iba por una pedicura, hasta ayer que me decidí por el color, como el verano esta casi terminando decidí que era ahora o nunca.
Así que, que piensas del color, lo amas o lo odias?

Proyect Scarf

I decided to make a scarf for my husband. I am not an expert, I learned to knit when I was little. My mom was always making sweaters for the family so I would ask her to teach me. My knitting projects were always small ones that I would usually abandon after a couple of days. So I never really made anything.
So, with my mom visiting and staying with us for a while I asked her to refresh my memory and help me to make a scarf.

Last week we went to Michael's to buy all the material for our new project. She will be also making a scarf for herself. My husband picked the color and I picked the needles.
So far I have been knitting almost every other day for a few minutes :-) I promised to myself I will finish my project. My husband also made a promise, he said he will wear the scarf very often (when is cold out of course. So keep an eye for my progress.


Decidí hacer una chalina para mi esposo, no soy una experta pero aprendí lo poco que se cuando era pequeña, my mama siempre hacia chompas para la familia, así que le pedía que me enseñara, mis proyectos de tejido siempre fueron pequeños loc cuales abandonaba a los pocos días, así que nunca termine ninguno.
Ahora que mi mama esta de visita y se quedara con nosotros por un tiempo, le pedí que refrescara mi memoria y me ayudara a hacer una chalina.

La anterior semana fuimos a Michael's a comprar todo el material para nuestro nuevo proyecto, ella también hará una chalina para ella, mi esposo escogió el color de lana y yo escogí los tejedores.
Hasta ahora he estado tejiendo inter diario por algunos minutos :-) Me prometí a mi misma que terminaría el proyecto. Mi esposo también hizo una promesa, dijo que usaría la chalina muy seguido (cuando hiciera frío afuera claro esta) así que estén al tanto de mi progreso.

Better late than never

I have been away for a while, but I have lots of pictures to post. I will start with Garlic Festival pictures. I ended up going on Sunday. Saturday wasn't a good day for me since I was still feeling weak and sick, but Sunday I felt like going out and enjoying the day.
I picked up my mom and sister (A. was in San Diego for the week) and we went to Gilroy. It would normally take an hour and forty-five minutes to get there but it took us over two hours to arrive, not before taking a detour and getting lost a couple of times. We finally arrived to the hot, hot, hot Gilroy and it was probably more than 100 degrees. We had to stay in the shade most of the time, but we had a great time.
Lots of fruity drinks, great food, and nice music made this festival an unforgetable experience.

He estado alejada por un tiempo pero tengo muchas fotos que mostrar. Voy a empezar con las del Festival del Ajo, termine yendo el Domingo, Sábado no fue un buen día para mi porque todavía me sentía débil, pero el Domingo me sentí con ganas de salir y disfrutar el día.
Recogí a mi mama y hermana (A. estaba en San Diego toda la semana) y fuimos a Gilroy. Normalmente tomaría una hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos en llegar pero nos tomo mas de dos horas en llegar, no sin antes tomar un atajo y perdernos un par de veces. Finalmente llegamos al caluroso Gilroy con por lo menos cien grados de temperatura. Tuvimos que quedarnos en la sombra la mayor parte del tiempo pero pasamos un buen rato.
Muchas bebidas de frutas, buena comida y música hicieron de este festival una experiencia inolvidable.

I was looking for a cheap way to make my pictures look professional and I found what I was looking for at the Strobist. I spend $14.00 to make the macro box including 2 Ikea lamps.

Weather.com tells me that Gilroy’s weather will be nice tomorrow. I really hope so because I will be going to the Gilroy Garlic Festival!!!
I can't wait to get some sun, enjoy good food, and get over with this cold that is keeping me indoors for the last two days.

Weather.com me dice que mañana hará un buen clima en Gilroy. Espero que si porque iré al Festival del Ajo de Gilroy!!! No puedo esperar a solearme, disfrutar de buena comida, y terminar con este resfrío que me esta manteniendo en casa por los últimos dos días.

Sick Day

I don't have much to say today. I feel very sick, I came down with a cold and the medicine I am taking doesn't seem to be helping.

First Blog Ever

I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. I like the idea of sharing my thoughts and things I experience everyday, but also the idea of making no sense with all my ramblings scared me a little, That, and the fact that English is not my first language made me forget the idea for a while. So I decided to write this blog in Spanish and Engish. Spanish because it is the language I feel more comfortable writing in, and English because is like a challenge to me.
So here I am, this is my first blog ever. I hope you enjoy reading it, I am also hoping this will be the beginning of many more blog entries to come.

He estado pensando a cerca de empezar un blog por un tiempo ya. Me gusta la idea de compartir mis pensamientos y cosas que experimento cada día, pero también la idea de no tener sentido con mis pensamientos vagos me asustaba un poco, eso y el hecho de que el ingles no es mi lengua materna me hizo olvidar la idea por un tiempo. Fue entonces que decidí escribir este blog en Espanol e Ingles. En Español porque es el idioma en el que puedo escribir mas comodamente, Ingles porque es como un desafío para mi.
